Solas Programme Information

We produce three core programmes per year...Autumn, Winter and Spring with a smaller programme running over the Summer months. These programmes include a wide range of group based support and individual therapies and counselling.

Support if focussed on the following key areas:

- Relaxation: Includes Meditation, Acupuncutre and Relaxation Skills

- Creative: Includes Art, Music and Craft based activities

- Exercise:Includes Restorative Yoga and Chi Me

- Drop in: Informal sessions with no commitment nor expectation, includes Knitting, Only Men Allowed and Bach Flower Remedies

In addition to our core programmes, we have recently secured funding to deliver two new specialist programmes.

Our core programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund People and Communities Fund


Emotional Impact of Cancer (EIC) Programme

This programme will offer support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, to help ease the emotional for individuals, families and carers.

Support will include Relaxation Sessions, Restorative Yoga, Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage, Listening Ear, Counselling, Peer Support, Bach Flower Rememdies or simply drop in for a cuppa and chat.

Launch event Wednesday 6th September, with drop in support and relaxation sessions starting week commencing 11th September. This programme is funded by the Public Health Agency through the Networks Involving Communities in Health Improvements.


More Than< Youth Programme

The Police and Safety Partnership are funding a youth programme, offering opportunitie for young people aged 14-18 to join in with a wide range of different activitie, to offer alternative ways of working through the challenge of teenage life. The More Than Young Women's Group will consist of a 6 week programme, including tasters in relaxation, expressive art, journalling and fun with music.  The Young Men's Group will consist of a 12 week programme, including 4 weeks of street art, Functfit gym, and outdoor adventures.
